Our spread betting Total Goals line is 2.95 – 3.15. This means a 3.15 'buy' bet would need at least four goals to be scored in the match to start turning a profit. Conversely, a 2.95  ‘sell’ bet would need two goals or fewer to be scored in the match to turn a profit.

There have been at least four goals scored in five of the last six clashes between these two sides at St James’ Park in the Premier League. The only exception was last season’s 1-1 draw, where an Anthony Gordon penalty secured a point for the hosts.

Remember that with spread betting, get the bet wrong and losses can exceed your stake/deposit. For example, a 3.15 'buy' Total Goals bet would lose 3.15x your stake if the match ended 0-0.
