Burnley fans knew that their team’s fight for survival this season would be tricky, and so it’s proving to be. The Clarets find themselves 17th with ten points after eleven games, and only above the relegation zone on goal difference. Scott Parker’s side will be hoping to find their feet as the season progresses, but a tough fixture against Chelsea will not be easy. Fans will be hoping that Jaidon Anthony can rediscover some form after starting the season well.

Chelsea have had a good start to the season and find themselves third in the Premier League table after eleven games. Enzo Maresca’s side have been plagued by injuries, including the loss of Cole Palmer early in the campaign. However, the Blues have adapted well to life without their key playmaker, scoring 21 goals in the opening eleven games of the year. Can they continue their form this Saturday?

Visitors Chelsea are strongly favoured in this one after their good start to the season. The Blues are priced at 40/85 to win the game, or 4/9 in our 2-Up Early Payout market, which pays out if your team goes two goals up at any time during the game.
Newly promoted Burnley are the underdogs. They haven’t beaten Chelsea since 2017, failing to win eleven clashes between the two sides in that time. The hosts are currently priced at 5/1 to win the game or 19/4 in our 2-Up Early Payout market. You can also back a draw at 15/4.

We also offer a number of spread betting markets for Saturday’s clash, including our “Goal Supremacy” market. This market currently has Chelsea favoured by 1.15-1.35 goals. This means that if you placed a “buy” bet, you would need Chelsea to win by at least two goals to start turning a profit. A two-goal victory for Chelsea would win you 0.65 times your stake, a three-goal win 1.65 times your stake, and so on.
However, if you bought and Chelsea drew, lost, or won by just one goal, you would lose money. Here, a one-goal loss would cost you 2.35 times your stake, a three-goal loss 3.35 times your stake, etc.
You can also bet on the total number of goals scored during the game with our Total Goals market. This is currently set at 2.85-3.05. If you’re expecting a high-scoring game, you would “buy” and would need at least four total goals to turn a profit. Alternatively, if you expect the defences to be on top, you could “sell” and would need two goals or fewer to turn a profit.
If you sold and the game ended 1-0, you would win 1.85 times your stake. However, if you sold and the game ended 6-0, you would lose 3.15 times your stake. It’s important to remember that when spread betting, if your bet loses, you can lose multiples of your stake, so be sure to choose appropriate stake sizes for each market.
