When IS THE AFRICA CUP OF NATIONS?

The tournament begins Sunday 21st December 2025 and will end with the final on the 18th of January 2026.

WHO IS HOSTING AFCON 2025?

The 2025 edition of AFCON will be hosted by Morocco, who are also the outright betting favourites.

However, the Atlas Lions have not won this tournament since their lone victory in 1976. Can they claim a second this time around?

WHO WERE THE LAST WINNERS OF THE AFRICA CUP OF NATIONS?

The last winners and defending champions are Ivory Coast, who beat Nigeria 2-1 in the final in January 2023.

WHICH PREMIER LEAGUE PLAYERS ARE IN AFCON 2025?

A multitude of former and current top Premier League talents will be playing at the tournament, which will undoubtedly affect their respective clubs in the meantime.

Some of the headline names include Egyptians Mohamed Salah of Liverpool and Omar Marmoush of Man City, Cameroon's Bryan Mbeumo and Ivory Coast's Amad Diallo of Man Utd, Newcastle's DR Congo striker Yoann Wissa, Crystal Palace's Senegal winger Ismaila Sarr and several others.

AFCON 2025 BETTING ODDS

Spreadex Sports will be offering a multitude of both fixed odds and spread betting markets on AFCON 2025 available for football punters.

In terms of spread betting, Spreadex are offering a range of markets aside from standard Outright Winner markets, including Tournament Totals, Group Totals, Team Goals Markets, Team Supremacies and much more!

In terms of the Outright betting favourites, Morocco are the favourites to win the title as hosts at a fixed odds price of 5/2, followed by Senegal at 11/2, Egypt at 6/1, Algeria at 7/1, and reigning champions Ivory Coast and 2023 losing finalists Nigeria both at 9/1.

In terms of Spread Betting on the Outright winner, our Outright Index market will settle on a 100-75-50-25-10-0 scale. This means the tournament winner will settle at 100, runner-up 75, losing semi-finalist 50, losing quarter-finalist 25, losing in last-16 10, and 0 for all others.

Morocco, for example, have a starting spread of 49-54. This means if you placed a buy bet at 54 and Morocco win the tournament, you would win 46x your initial stake. If they lost in the final, you would win 21x your stake. However, if they lost in the semi-finals you would lose 4x your stake, 29x your stake if they lose in the quarter-finals, 44x your stake in case of a round-of-16 exit, and a 54x loss for a group stage exit.

On the other hand, if you placed a sell bet at 49 and Morocco lost in the quarter-finals for example, you would win 24x your stake. However, if you placed a sell bet at 49 and Morocco did go on to win the tournament, you would lose 51x your stake. Or, if Morocco reach the final and lose, you would lose 26x your stake on a sell bet.
